It’s one of my husband’s favorite days of the year: the Annual Anti Super Bowl Party! On this day we do many of the same things people who are enjoying the Super Bowl do except actually watch the game. We drink beer, we munch on a spread of appetizers and snacks, and we enjoy this winter day indoors. Why relate the two you ask? Why not? We’ve been doing this for several years and thoroughly enjoy it.
With this year’s spread (at 34 weeks pregnant) I needed to be realistic with how much energy I would have to be in the kitchen. My giant party spread was reduced to just four recipes (it’s only my husband and I celebrating, as usual). The whole spread was created in just a few hours plus some time in the slow cooker.
Cranberry Walnut Pinwheels
I’ve been perfecting this recipe for a while inspired by many that can be found on the web.
These pinwheels are made up of spinach tortillas, whipped cream cheese, spinach, dried cranberries, crushed walnuts, feta cheese, and green onions.
Skinny Taco Dip
This easy appetizer recipe comes from Yellow Bliss Road with a few modifications.
My ingredients: whipped cream cheese, plain Greek yogurt, salsa, spinach, heirloom tomatoes, black olives, cheddar cheese, avocado, fresh lime juice, and cilantro.
Slow-Cooker Buffalo Chicken Wings with Bleu Cheese Dip
In pregnancy I’ve discovered that I now like some of my husband’s favorite foods. One of those foods that I previously despised is buffalo anything and bleu cheese. I now crave buffalo chicken and bring on the bleu cheese dip! What is this baby boy doing to me?
Served with Recipe Tin Eats Bleu Cheese sauce. Get the recipe here.

Nutella Stuffed Strawberries
And onto the main event…the sweets! These Nutella Stuffed Strawberries are made of pure bliss and a platter full can be eaten in less time they take to prepare.
We wrapped up this year’s Anti Super Bowl Party with some personal art projects, relaxation, and some Netflix. How do you celebrate this day?
