How to Make a Simple DIY Christmas Garland
Make this simple Christmas garland in under an hour for under $10 with just a few materials. You can make the garland any length to hang on your Christmas tree, across a mantel, or over a door.
Materials Needed:
- kids mittens
- jingle bells
- cord, ribbon, yarn, or similar
- needle/thread
Begin by making a loop on one end of the cord for hanging.
Create knotted loops evenly spaced along the cord where the mittens will hang. More space in between loops will make a longer garland. Tie another loop at the other end of the cord for hanging.
Cut each loop in half to create two pieces to attach the mittens.
Hand sew one mitten onto each piece of cord.
Add a jingle bell onto each side of each mitten. Repeat with all the mittens.
This simple diy Christmas garland looks great hanging on the mantel, around a Christmas tree, or over a doorway. You could also wrap it around a pole or wreath.
Kids mittens come in a variety of colors and patterns so make your simple diy Christmas garland in the style that fits your theme.
