Sometimes when you feel like making something, you don’t really have a plan. That’s how I started this white and gold wreath project.
I dug through my craft room drawers and shelves compiling glittery gold and white things then piled them on the kitchen table. This is what I came up with:
Materials Used
- white foam core, cut into a large wreath-sized ring
- white linen scraps
- white lace scraps
- wire berry garland with gold glitter stars (a dollar store score!)
- gold painted eucalyptus and leaves (another dollar store find)
- gold glitter dipped feather ornaments (My sister-in-law adorned some xmas packages with these, I think they came from Target.)
- gold ribbon
After cutting the foamcore into a ring, I wrapped it with strips of white linen fabric all the way around. This was then wrapped with lace.
After a few attempts of a circular design I landed on an asymmetrical look with all the materials bunched together.
Everything is tied on with gold ribbon. More linen and lace hangs the wreath on the door.
This white and gold wreath looks great on my front door for any season.
Do you have a wreath on your front door? I’d love to see it!
